Slow Day

Slow day.  Sloooooooooooooooooooooow day.  I’ve been pounding the keyboard for almost two hours, and barely 700 words have slipped by.  Perhaps it’s because of writing on a Monday (day off), perhaps it’s because of the current lack of munchies or lunch in the fridge, but seriously.  The Muse is making calls slower than molasses in January.

I stand corrected.  She’s making calls frequently, but she’s being so damn vague each time.  Perhaps it’s also because I’m listening to CanadaWrites at the same time.

Ah, well.  The novel’s coming slowly, but steadily.  I’m hoping to have the first draft (minus interludes) finished by April 26th, and I’m about 15,000-20,000 words away from completion.  Interludes will be finished by the end of May/early June, and I hope to have edited the manuscript and gotten preliminary feedback by the middle of summer (July/August sometime.)

At the same time, I’m also trying to cook up a screenplay for a short film set within the novel’s universe (the tentative title for the movie is “Bare Bones”), working on a series of four short stories for this blog and various other writing forums (“Ragtag”), and getting other work done.

Still, it’s a lazy Monday- I’m not expecting terribly much for now.

Uh….hello? Anyone?

Ok.  This is a little daunting.  Not that I’m a computer expert, mind, but still- WordPress gets used by everyone and their dog these days.

So, uhh….hi!  If you stumble across this page, I’m honoured and touched.  If you want to get to know who I am and what I do, head on over to About.  Otherwise, stay tuned for further posting!
